It’s Christmas Eve, and there are some legal lessons to be learned. I’m Amy E. Feldman.
‘Twas the day before Christmas and all through the court,
Were lawsuits aplenty, matters in contract and tort.
From lewd office party gifts that led to claims of harassment,
To packages promised but undelivered at the last minute.
From atheist lawsuits over Christmas displays,
To toy lithium battery explosions that caused great dismay.
From faulty Christmas lights that caused the house to catch fire,
To holiday food poisoning whose health consequences were dire.
Many a Christmas-related lawsuit’s been fought,
But the best suit of all is the one that’s not brought.
Perhaps the lesson we take from Christmas-themed fights,
Is to find joy and keep peace if only for one night.
