Pope Francis graciously congratulated a reporter last week who’d managed to snap a photo of him exiting a record store in Rome, after what was supposed to be a private visit with his friends who owned the store.  The Pope confirmed that it was he, saying, “thanks for doing your job, even if it did put the Pope in difficulty.”  Maybe it’d be easier to escape notice if you’re not wearing flowing white robes and a skullcap?

As for causing difficulty, many workers have gotten in trouble for failing to take a work uniform off after work.  Some professions, like the military and law enforcement, prohibit employees from wearing the uniform when they aren’t on duty, and many company policies forbid employees from wearing their uniforms after hours to events, or where their behavior while wearing it would reflect badly on the company.  If you aren’t sure, check with a higher authority—your HR department—before wearing it.
